Bush's solution to lowering gas prices is to stop enforcing pollution laws.

What a knob. Why not just require cars to be built with better mileage. Maybe then we won't see so many of the stinkin' luxury SUV's.

He's also cutting the tax breaks the oil companies get. Maybe he shouldn't have given them in the first place.
Idiot should be giving tax breaks to all the alternative energy people. They could acutally use it.

I think that Big Oil will still get its tax breaks, but in the form of R&D grants and they'll use them for exploration and development.

Tax breaks to alternative energy people wouldn't work in the long run, at least not for the people that matter (and you and I don't matter).

I meant tax breaks for companies that are developing alternative energies. Tax breaks don't really work, I know, but at least give it to those that need it.

There should just be a flat tax and be done with it.

I was being sarcastic about tax breaks/incentives for alternate energy not being in Big Oil's best interests.

I think that incentives for alternate energy startups are a good thing.

And let's not forget the other part of his two-pronged attack: not adding any oil to the national reserves this year. So to recap, the only ways he could think of to ease oil prices that wouldn't fuck with anyone's profit margin are to screw up the environment more, and decrease our emergency supplies.

This man is a genius.
