There seems to be a growing and very frighting growth of fascist/racist type groups. When times are hard people so easily resort violence and hate.

There's a strong undercurrent of racism cloaked as nationalism throughout europe. It's the dark underbelly that europe doesn't like to show.

It's what western civilization was built on.

This is what happens when normal people stay home.

Well said.

Someone sent me this just now:

HOLLAND: Four of 25 seats went to Geert Wilders? anti-Islamic party,
which took 17 % of the country?s votes. The Liberals took six seats
(23%) and the conservatives five (20%). Turnout: 36%

HUNGARY: The ruling Socialists were hammered, winning only four seats in
their worst poll defeat since the first free elections in 1990. The
main opposition Fidesz party took 14, while the far-Right Jobbik party,
which critics claim is anti-Semitic and racist, managed three.
Turnout: 36%

That turnout is horrible. It's approaching North American numbers!
