Continuing to rake in money while doing minimal work seemed to be a major goal of hers. We saw her doing just that during the new-run era. And she must still be doing pretty well on straight reprints with occasional edits of prices and dates. The weird pretense that the strips are happening in modern day, instead of just slapping the word "classic" on the strip, is baffling.
At one point some years ago I did find the profit report for Lynn's business in Vancouver and it appeared she was clearing at least a million dollars a year just on the rights to have her comic strip reprinted (or however they consider what she is doing).
For decades Shrooms has meant some other kind of mushroom than the kind you put in stew (unless Castaneda or Hunter Thompson is cooking for you) but I'm sure Lynn has no clue about that.
I remember her her sharing a charming story about trying to terrify her mother as revenge for cruelly oppressing her by........uh......trying to teach her how to make a pie crust that wasn't soggy by making up drug slang out of thin air......and coming to the conclusion that she did terrify her mother by being The Amazing Colossal Ignoramus. I can imagine Mrs Ridgway wonder if Lindy was half-asleep when she watched the Dragnet 67 about acid.
1) Lynn is so stupid that she has no idea why her mom pushed so hard.
2) Potter didn't babble about wallpaper as much as Gannon did. We never got an out of character thing about Potter losing his appetite like we did with Gannon.
He can't count on help from Suzy Hobbyjob because she has a bad habit of refusing to listen when concepts like e-mail

That's a sweet gig. Nice lack of work, if you can get it!

It makes all those "classic" comic strips make more sense. It's free money.

this is one of about twelve million reasons I chose not to have kids, I'm afraid of having a stupid one.
Harry Morgan didn't look or sound any different here from when he was Colonel Potter, did he?
