1. "Advanced Civilization?" By what measure? The number of Temples, Churches and Caves it had? Seriously? Nobody uses language like this anymore, John- except followers of a certain philosophy that was smacked down hard in the fourth decade of the last century. Tell us about the "third world" next.
2. John looks terrified of his wife as he tries to enjoy her choice of vacation activity by cradling a drink while she angrily, haughtily gulps hers down. As to that Saturday strip: Lynn, you are the only person on the planet who thinks that joke is open-mouthed funny and not a mildly amusing, fact-check-later nugget of info. Once again, Lynn desperately wishes she could have added a laugh track to her strips along with blinking eyes.

That same story is, however, accurate when applied in another context. "Kangaroo" really does mean "I don't understand you" in one specific Australian aborigine dialect.
