I've had England on the brain today, from reading 'Thrones, Dominations' by Dorothy Sayers and Jill Paton Walsh and now from watching 'Mary, Queen of Scots ( Read more... )

Heh. I've been re-reading Thrones, Dominations the last couple of days, and like you, love the balance between Sayers' wit and plotting with Walsh's fanfic-style nods. A Presumption of Death, the other book Walsh penned based on Sayer's notes, is also very good, I think.
