i have to admit while i'm here: i am not so happy about living in a state with a mail-in ballot. i've never felt so useless and ineffectual during an election cycle. all i can do is ask people if they've received their ballots, maybe chat 'em up about candidates, and then hope i've made a difference. i can't walk anyone to the polls or work the polls or anything. plus there's so little personal fanfare. i fucking love going to the polls. does that make me a lousy radical?

Yeah, the Dems are pretty familiar with that feeling already. They've made an art form out of political losses.
On the other hand -- all signs are good and only getting better. When you have even FOX FUCKING NEWS calling out a high-profile McCain supporter for attacking Obama, you know that their camp is running on nothing left in the tank but crazy-fumes.
