I've been pondering on the Force, and how to represent it in this Star Wars game. I think I'm leaning toward a single Force skill and two or three stunts. The blatant powers (Jedi mind trick, telekinesis, jumping, etc.) will be Fate point driven, to keep them from completely outclassing the other stunts and keep players from using them to get out ( Read more... ) -
"Spirit of the 'Verse" becomes "Spirit of the Force"
The GM of the AD&D2 game I've been playing in has said he's burned out and can't keep running it. No biggie, it happens, and that game ran longer than most that we play. I'm actually surprised he kept going as long as he had, given how much prep he was doing for weekly sessions and that it was his first game ( Read more... ) -

Project: Tau
So, I've decided to get back into this whole miniatures wargaming thing, and since I can't seem to make any progress on any of the three Warhammer 40k armies I have laying around I'm gathering up a new one instead. I figure I'll buy one item at a time, not buying another until I finish up the one I'm working on. Maybe I'll end up with a completed ( Read more... ) -
Spirit of the Century
So, I'll be starting up a Spirit of the Century game for my Sunday group this weekend. I'll have to poke through the .pdf and see what all I have to print out and copy for the players to make characters, get some character sheets done up, etc. Curtis isn't ready to start his AD&D2 campaign back up yet, so I'll inflict SotC character creation on ( Read more... ) -
Almost done!
I spent 12 hours in the shop today working on the trike. I am so close to done I can taste it (or maybe I'm tasting the tiny bits of metal that cover my face and most of the rest of me). I even rode it around a bit today; it works. All that's left is to trim back the left bearing plate to match the right, figure out how to fit the right brake on ( Read more... ) -
More work
Cutting, grinding, drilling, cleaning, etc. took up my shop time today. Nothing interesting to photograph (which is good, because I forgot my camera) but I got a lot done. Bill says he knows someone with a lathe, which will make it much easier to finish up four pieces, two of which need to be absolutely perfect ( Read more... )
