Today was the last day of school for Paula. Well, let's clarify that. She teaches Head Start, you see, so today was her last day with the kiddies. She has the next two days as work days (because HS seems to generate about a metric ton of paper per kid) and then she's off until August. Without pay. Joy ( Read more... )

Yes, the universe loves to have fun with us, it does. Thing is, I actually like this printer - it's very clear and sharp. But it seems to drink ink like an SUV drinks Premium. Fortunately, most print loads are a little less extreme.

I'm still thinkin' it's a Vegas show that just hasn't found it's backer yet.

I'm so glad there's someone else out there that still thinks this way, btw. I've been walking around all day with, "Lie, Lie and Lie!" in my head.

Lie lie and lie?

Christine, you know I love you and would bear your children (or even chide your bears), but I must confess, this comment whooshed straight over my understanding. I'm not as hip and streetwise as I used to be, I guess.

It's an MST ref. from one of the old shorts. I think it's from one of the ones on proper speaking techniques. Perhaps the same one that suggests you use plenty of lip and tongue action.

I'm fairly MST ref conversant when it comes to the early refs, but I fade out somewhere after the Comedy Central years.

Yes, Paula is a great teacher, in my esteemed opinion. She really loves the kids (it's some of the adults in the process who get on her nerves).

And when you get your metaphorical cape, don't forget the metaphorical cowl and metaphorical utility belt that go with it.

It's going to be the plot for a new movie i'm scripting, "Dude! Where's My Cyan?"
