Optional or not, all I can see is people buying one of these self-playing games, letting it run itself through, and then returning it or complaining about how it's so hard or something.
Nintendo, this is just ridiculous.

I have stooped to walk throughs, I have begged people to get me past certain tricky areas. I have also spent hours beating myself against challenging stages. I don't like this.

Or they could have just designed the game and controls better.
