Eyecandy in my leatbawks

I think I am going to buy one of these. It's twice as much VRAM as my current card, booty-buttloads faster, and right at a good price range. The next step higher has been averaging a good $150-$200 jump up, out of my level of spendature.

If anyone knows a good reason I shouldn't get this one, now would be the time to flaunt your technology wisdom

Best video card for the money, IMO.

A great purchase.

Can you give me a good reason you _should_ get one? What does your current card not do for you that you actually need? Do you feel hampered by your current card?

Of course you should get it, it's more gadgetry.

ALl good reasons. Can't say I know much about the hardware scene these days -- I basically check up on what's current whenever I need something myself, my days of keeping up with CPUs and video cards are long over.

I find it convenient that keeping up with at least a decent CPU and having a strong video card are good standards for digital document processing. Having a kickin' rig means I can run anything the print industry needs of its digitally-inclined technicians, so it's always a plus to keep a nice graphic-oriented setup. That the video game industry drives graphics tech ever higher is just a bonus.
