Do you know of Half.com? I think it's attached somehow to eBay, but they often have used cds on the cheap, and I'm not sure I've ever NOT found something I was looking for. Anyway, if you're not already, I'd recommend giving it a shot. :)

Also try allmusic.com. If the album is listed, they have a price comparison page attached. Even for pretty obscure stuff.
