I saw a recipe that called for using good Irish butter, as if using butter from the cattle for which His Lordship drove us from farms into famine were somehow more authentic.

I've made Irish Soda bread a few times; as you said it's best still warm from the oven with lashings of butter.

I've only ever used this recipe, and I make one large one instead of two.

The next time I make it I'm going to try your recipe using the caraway seeds version.
