One thing I never understood, not even when I was a Christian, was why we should fight God’s battles for him. He’s the one with the heavy artillery, after all. If he doesn’t like something, doesn’t he have the wherewithal to make it unambiguously clear?

IOW: "Oh, you're praying! Um…why? God's Mysterious Plan™ not to your liking?"

The noxious busybodies of MassResistance are right about one thing, but not the way they think (and not the way they'd like to be): The Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence are indeed proudly and vitally anti-Catholic. When that church's policies were actively facilitating and directly causing suffering and death in the gay community, the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence stepped up for the role the Catholic Church likes to delude itself as filling.

Oh, they're certainly anti-Catholic. But so is most everyone at the parade, with the possible exception of the Stockholm-Syndrome Sufferers, Dignity. The parade celebrates values that are antithetical to Church doctrine. The predominant religion represented is the non-creedal Unitarian Universalist church, and they welcome pagans and atheists as well as LGBTQ people.

" The Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence " ~

What a GREAT name for a group .

I'm from Mass. and I always thought it to be more a Progressive State than a Liberal one .
