Hunh. And I thought we won the American Revolution because George Washington developed strategic asymmetric warfare, plus a good amount of political maneuvering, plus other European powers using the opportunity to get their digs in at England, plus England being over-extended in too many foreign wars, requiring them to use their best troops in Mediterranean wars against Spain, and East Indies naval battles against France. The United States was just one front in a global French/English war, which eventually weakened France so much that anti-Monarchist forces were able to overthrow the Monarchy.
