There's no one hiding in the kitchen. No one is peeking out at me from under a large floating basking rock. No one is splashing to get my attention in the hopes that I'll forget that she's already been fed and realize that she's starving, absolutely starving.
Pip has gone to a better place. Or so I hope.

The other option is to give her to the pet shop while she's still young and cute (well, cute if you like cold-blooded hard-shelled critters).
I hate to part with any critter I've cared for. Our corn snake is over 20 years old, the eldest of our four cockatiels is 19. We've given Pip a good start, but I just can't justify the expense and the lifestyle decisions keeping her would require.
