Bill, I worked with Nick Veasey (the X-Ray Photographer) on this project back in 2000. Most of your article was spot on except for the part where the "real X-Ray" was too dense. There were no 'real' x-rays images used for the 777. These were all images from a Boeing Cad system. Thanks for the background on the application of the vinyl. Steve

We had a bit of severe weather last year that peeled back some of the vinyl roof of the hanger, but the picture on the end stayed intact.
