I read all my EULAs. They mostly terrify me, but I don't have much alternative but to "sign" off on them, if I want to get anything done these days. Short of living in a cabin with all my own power-generation gear and no telecommunications beyond well-trained pigeons, there's not much way around it all...
My Android phone only reports in when it's on Wifi. I have a firewall set up so that it doesn't transmit data when on 3G, except in certain cases. Location info is not one of those cases. I suspect the info is logged and transmitted in batches when it's allowed, anyway.
