Internet, please help.

I have seen this pose before! No one knows where it's from. Video game artwork? Fantasy book cover? Anime? I have no idea! Please help. I am losing my mind.

Unfortunately, I do not know the source. I went looking for it, but couldn't find it. I HAVE seen a picture with a very similar pose that that is based off of, but it was so long ago that I no longer remember.

I went and found the original source of the image's creator, but still can't find any more info.

You need an account to look at the art on that site. Looked it up on Danbooru, but none of the tags and comments there really revealed a source except "parody", and that doesn't bloody help...

マリオの名において命じます is the true name of the image, which is something like "A Mage By The Name of Mario".

If you can get someone to translate these tags on the image (some of which are worthless, like はいてない), you might get more clues. That's assuming, of course, that the artist knows what exactly the image is based off of.

Try "classical painting", I've definitely seen it before, like in a museum.
