Oh the things I do.

Just dropped an absurd amount of money for a ticket to see Stark Sands in American Idiot in June. Holy crap, normally I would never pay this much for a theatre ticket, not even to see Wicked or whatever (which is way overpriced, btw), and yet I did today. We'll be close enough to see it! If they keep the staging the same as they did during their Berkley Rep run, Stark will be on our side of the stage a lot :)

I've paid multiple $100+ tickets to see stuff. If that makes you feel better.

This is because ticket prices for theatre in Australia sucks though.

That doesn't make me feel better because now I'm all like "Oh Shem, you spent all that $$$" and it hurts me, too *is a dork*

F-ing theatre ticket prices. Seriously, WHY SO EXPENSIVE? For $100+ you better like serve me dinner and complimentary drinks and guarantee I'll get to meet my favorite cast member of choice :O

I think I'm so used to somehow getting discount theatre tickets for the stuff I see in CA, that paying full price for anything makes me cringe (mostly because I'm like "Dude, this seat is so not worth $100. I could maybe get it for $40 on the internet" or something... honestly, like if I go to a show, I'll look at the people around me who paid full-price and I'll feel sorry for them)

I'm weird.
