Depends on the nature of the stone, either sunlight or moonlight. Tell me what stone it is and I'll let you know where and how long.

You can also do a cleansing ritual on it, then leave it on the sun / moon.

If it is quartz it needs to be rinsed under clean running lukewarm water :O)

You can bleach it clean with light or raw power. Wash it away with running water. Hold it in the sea for a while, preferably while also being in the sea. Bury it for a period in a clean place. Sing to it.
More specific remedies would depend on the nature of the taint.
