ALL THEY HAVE IS EACH OTHER. THIS IS WHAT I'VE BEEN WANTING FOR YEARS.
This is how it WAS in Seasons 1-3 and how it WAS SUPPOSSED TO BE during all of the last seasons!
But I'm not sure i'll get back to the show right away, I'll take my time reading reviews on first episodes and then will decide whether it's worth to start it all over again with SPN.

That is certainly a logical choice. I think you'll be able to tell my by my squee level alone. I sure as hell hope they do this. I just want Sam and Dean on the road together, fighting evil things. AND GOOD GOD, BRING BACK JOHN WINCHESTER.

Should- Should I embrace for impact? Is the Supernatural fandom going to implode? I'm on the outskirts, but you know...blast radius and all...

It probably will. I looked at ontd_spnparty's reactions and dear lord, you wouldn't believe how many people are saying "I quit" over this news already.

I liked him okay and I still sympathize with him, but I will always, always, ALWAYS choose the boys over him.

I sympathize with those who loved Castiel thought I'm sort of like, "bye guys!" with those leaving the show over it. I mean, do you know how many fans left after season 4 because of Castiel and the angel storyline and Sam's moral demise? I almost did, so I don't see why I can't be happy that things are going back to how they started when I first watched the show. I feel sympathy, but I certainly don't think that they should get better treatment, especially since for the first three seasons there WAS no Castiel. I think they could have foreshadowed it better, made his turning less of a shock, but I can bet you anything that they had a different ending planned but changed it when they found out they were getting a seventh season. It certainly looks like a rush job.

This is so amazingly late, but I couldn't agree more. I don't hate Cas by any means (although I won't ever forgive him for deliberately breaking Sam's wall), but I've been waiting for THREE YEARS for some focus to be put back on the brothers when their relationship is actually GOOD again, not just angst. I am ready for S7.
