I've been putting off posting this because really when I got toward the end of the list, the latter three seasons of Supernatural started to look less horrible, but then I decided to post anyway because, damn it, I spent a long while thinking up and writing this down. I guess, depending on its reception, we'll see how smart a decision that was.

Disappointment, ho! )

I can't complain too much since, you know, I watch everything still, but it's definitely not the same. I mean, I got several people into the show in its heyday because I'd constantly go on and on about how good it was. I think in total I got six people, possibly more? Now I barely recommend it or I'll shrug and say, 'well, the first three are the best and you might like it now, who knows.'

I think the majority fans that DO feel this way are silent because, well, they're NOT watching anymore. Such a shame.

I agree with this so hard, you have no idea. I started watching because someone told me I needed to watch for the Dean/Castiel. But by the time Cas showed up, I already shipped Wincest like woah and I still ship it most and hardest. The show, to me, is about Sam and Dean, and anyone who says otherwise isn't watching the right show. It pains me when anyone says they actually haven't seen the episodes before Cas, because - uh - what the hell???
IT'S THE SAM AND DEAN SHOW. Always has been, always will be. Or something's wrong.
Epic Cas Girls of the Sam-hating variety, who genuinely think the show could end any way other than with the brothers together, alive or dead, make me want to scream.
I like Cas, but I don't like him that much.

I DO like that the show is getting that bond together. Who knows, maybe they'll stick with it and we'll keep getting the Sam + Dean or else vibe. Hate it or love it, season six has been very brothers-orientated and that's probably why I keep watching. I mean, it's pathetic how excited and flaily I got when Sam collapsed from the wall coming down momentarily and Dean was nearly crying and saying 'Sammy' over and over. YES, THIS! THIS IS THE SHOW I LOVE!

I don't know how I feel about this being the last season. I mean, if it's going to introduce more crap and horrible twists, let it end. If they keep building up Sam and Dean's relationship and stop it with the angel focus (except keep Castiel, he's not bad when used correctly) then I could conceivably go for a season 7. I don't know if I'm ready to give it up yet, probably because of all the reason I mentioned and the fact that I want them to fully repair the boys so I can go "DAMN S7 IS AWESOME. ALL THAT BAD STUFF WAS WORTH IT." Maybe they could actually get JDM back for John Winchester. Oh, my heart.
