HO SHIT, SPN

Dude, that was NOT a bad episode! Finally, after a shitty, shitty start, this season shows its first sign of being good (besides the Bobby episode, but it loses points for not showing me Dean on an airplane.)

Spoilers, including the after-episode promo for next week )

everything went better than expected, sammy!, spn reaction

I don't think Sam's soul is still in Hell. Someone (whoever raised him, probably) probably has it, given the earlier references to human souls as supernatural currency. My money is on Balthazar (or Raphael).

That's a good theory, I like it. It would at least give the angels more relevance to the angels this season rather than just having them show up as a B or C plot.

This, this! The wife and I sat around excitedly positing this theory last night.

I didn't originally think about it -- at first I was just like 'well that sucks for sam that his soul is gone forever' -- but, after seeing someone mention the possibility of someone having Sam's soul, it made sense that somehow Raphael/Balthazar would get involved.

I very much liked the way they had Lisa finish with Dean, I must say. DUMPED BECAUSE OF WINCEST, oh yes, thank you, SPN. :D

I'm so glad each episode is getting better! However at this pace it will only get good when the series (and quite likely, the show as well) is over.
I was very excited when I saw this week's preview; that Horn of Truth seemed like the perfect plot device to finally corner Sam into being less of a slippery twat. But then of course the writers had to go the "the curse applies to everyone - but Sam" route which was *so* irritating.
At least Dean got to seriously punch Sam which is something I've wanted to do since episode one.
IDK, I weirdly do not care what happens to Sam's soul - I'm not that invested in the show storyline anymore - but I'm enjoying it nonetheless. Oh and I hope we'll see more of Castiel (and perhaps his storyline will make a cameo too?); Cas makes everything better. :3
