Well first thing's first your voices are SPOT ON! ESPECIALLY new Uhura, she's got just the right edge of bite and poise that makes her tantalizing in the 2009 movie and you accomplish it efficiently without wasting too many lines. Also I'm adoring McCoy in this, how perfectly professional he's being, and the way you Chronicle Jim's breakdown via his interviews is GREAT. At this point the plot is like a cross between ST:III and Amok Time, and it's damned brilliant.
And my god in heaven it felt like shatner was coming off the page when you wrote the bits between the Primes. SO good, absolutely perfect! The banter! the love!! the bond!!! and lol at the snotty guardian. I can't wait to dive into the rest of this.
OH! and Jim's Eulogy.... *sniffle* It's exactly what Prime!Kirk would have said if he'd been able to encapsulate 20+ years of friendship and service together. NU!Jim's source material was less numerous, but nonetheless he KNEW his spock so well already. really heartbreaking. :'(
Well... as the previous commenter, I don't know where to beging. This fic is starting epic. Between the characterization, the way Kirk (with Spock's katra) acts and prime!Kirk... Really, this chapter is perfect, flawless. Running to eat the second!
