I'm...not going to touch the love/hate thing with Sam's character. I'm not sure where I stand on Sam right now. Just that he thinks he's doing the right thing - the only thing - that he can to help Dean stop the apocalypse. He probably has this huge weight of guilt on his chest for Dean going to hell in the first place on account of him, and doesn't want to ever be that helpless again. I feel like we see the show a lot more from Dean's perspective, in a way? Because they keep Sam in this kind of shady gray area now.... so that may be why I'm conflicted about Sam. I still love the guy. But you made a good point "Sam never goes with Dean, always does what he thinks is right, with or without Dean. Dean does everything with and for Sam. "
