Thanks for the heads up! I would probably have missed it otherwise, and it's good to at least know what's happening. I know what you mean, it hasn't really been the same for a longish time. And I think I might not bother to move again, either, if only because of the trouble of doing so.
Yeah, moving my stuff over to the proposed forum will probably be more than I can handle in the long run. While I respect people's decisions on whether or not they want to move, I'm not swayed to move over. Not a huge loss for me if it's current form shuts down since most of my readers can find me over here.
Well Sporks is saying the move won't be sudden like it was last time, but by the time Sims 4 comes out in September the new site will be ready so you have at least two months still on current Boolprop.
Well, I'll still update my legacy thread on Boolprop whenever I get any updates out before the move. It's just that I'm not a highly active member there, and the fact that ongoing legacies that were last replied to last year have been moved to a private forum has really made me consider moving away from Boolprop for good if it continues.
Not sure what private forum you're talking about but with how long the moderators were gone it's no surprise that some Boolproppers would leave too. I'll always be using LJ to host my stuff anyway, I've been through moving before and it's annoying. Last time it was too soon and I lost a lot of things I wanted to keep from that old site, namely some of my comments on my stories. It was how I met some good friends and I'm nostalgic about it I suppose.
If you look at any of the subforums in the legacy and challenge forums, you'll find out that all ongoing stories that were last replied to more than a year or so ago are no longer there. Lark mentioned in her journal that the admins moved them to a private forum only mods and admins can access, and there was no mention of it on Boolprop itself. My thought is that if this is the way to deal with the spam issue, then I don't see any logic behind it. I mean, most of the spam was in the introductions forum, so why hide old legacies and challenges even though they weren't being spammed?
