Well... looks like Dave Arneson has passed away. He's the guy who put the dungeon into Dungeons & Dragons, pretty much, and without him, I'd be in an entirely different industry and would have made entirely different friends, I suspect. Somebody remarked on another blog that both Arneson and Gygax died in about a year's span... Too close... I believe Erik remarked that it was a really bad year in that regard. I'll be drinking some of the new Capt Morgan's Long Island Ice Tea mix... It's vodka, tequila, and some other schtuff thrown in there...
The saddest thing is, there's two fonts of wealth gone, not just in wisdom on how to exist and thrive in the RPG business, but also on how to run a great RPG as well...
Very depressing.
