Best of Big Finish Doctor Whos?

Nov 30, 2007 18:44

Hello there. I'm new to the community and am getting back into the Big Finish Doctor Who audios. Currently, I have:

Sirens of Time
Phantasmagoria
Whispers of Terror
Storm Warning
100
Absolution
The Mind's Eye

As I'm collecting these, I'm curious to what Big Finish fans think are the best of each Doctor. What ones should I purchase next?

Seconded. I have no idea why I didn't list that initially.

I just re-listened to Caerdroia today! I do like that one a lot :)

I agree with you for Five (I would also add in Singularity), but I would say "Project Twilight", "The One Doctor" or "Jubilee" for Six. I liked The Harvest for Seven (haven't listened to a lot of Seven yet). And for standalone for Eight, Memory Lane was good, as was the earlier one Seasons of Fear.

Also, sam_gonhue, I am jealous that you've got a copy of Mind's Eye already...

Another vote for The Chimes of Midnight and Seasons of Fear for Eight.

I've only heard a smattering of Five, Six, and Seven on audio, but I loved The One Doctor.

Depends what sort of thing you like, of course. My favourites are - with favouritest listed firstest (try saying that after 6 points) - as follows.

Five: Excelis Dawns, Omega, The Church & the Crown, Spare Parts, Loups Garoux;

Six: Davros, The Wormery, Excelis Rising, Ish, Jubilee, The One Doctor;

Seven: The Fearmonger, Master, The Shadow of the Scourge (it's got Benny in it! =:o> )

Eight: The Natural History of Fear, The Chimes of Midnight, Other Lives

"Unbound": Deadline

I've only listened to a few of the Seven audios aside from The Sirens of Time and Zagreus, but I'll echo the recommendations for LIVE 34 (freaked me the fuck out) and The Fearmonger (Seven/Ace shippiness what?). Also I thought Bang-Bang-A-Boom was hysterical.

Spare Parts. It's the only Doctor Who story that's ever made me cry.
