Could you further define "Doctor whump?"

I suppose the most efficient thing I can do is just refer you here: http://www.fanhistory.com/wiki/Whumping

Eight's original arc with Charley will probably give you what you're looking for. For your purposes I recommend Storm Warning, Seasons of Fear, Neverland and Zagreus (Storm Warning isn't particularly whumpy, but nothing makes sense if you don't know Charley's back story).

This is a write up of Five recs I did a bit ago: http://tardiscrash.tumblr.com/post/4908687343/lostthehat-replied-to-your-post-finished

You can add on the list The Endless Summer, The Demons of Red Lodge and the Key 2 Time trilogy starting with The Judgement of Isskar

Ooh! I've just finished The Church and the Crown, and as well as being quite what I was looking for, it was also a very good story all around! ^^

I've never been one for doing things in order much, (one of the interesting things about having 'Who as a fandom,) but I shall endever to put Zagerus off for a bit.

I think I may have listened to a Charlie story or two, not sure I have the time or the patience for the whole thing...

I have become surprisingly fond of Turlough since I finished watching Five's run.

I am curious now as to what you "older crowd" folks would call it? I thought about saying something else, but couldn't really come up with anything...
