Things happening at work...

I haven't updated this in a while. I barely check my livejournal that much anymore. Too busy with FB and other stuff. :P And to think that I said I'd never get into FB and never understood why people used it.

The Bad:
- I hit a rabbit on Tuesday. It just darted out in front of me and I couldn't stop, and it even stopped in front of me. Had it kept on running it might have lived. So I turned around and found it twitching on the side of the road. I had hit the rabbit's back side, destroying it's back legs, but its head and upper body were still alive, and it was trying to run away with its two front paws.

I felt so bad for it, and also nauseated from the blood and gore, and considered running over its head to put it out of its misery, so it wouldn't die painfully and slowly. But I couldn't bring myself to do it.

- And then I hit another rabbit a couple days ago. This one, at least, died on impact. It didn't have to suffer in pain.

Both disappeared by the next day, and I can only assume some scavenger took off with them for a nice feast.

The strange:
- The same day I hit the first rabbit, a lightning storm came through. I was driving between two storm cells in the middle of fields. And I could see the lightning, miles away, flashing and striking the ground. It was a strange and surreal experience.

- A couple days ago I was picking up my papers and a fierce thunderstorm rolled through, and quarter-inch hail fell at an excessive rate.

The cute:
I saw a herd of deer, some of them babies, one night walk across a 5-lane street, into a bank parking lot, and over to a flowering tree. They took turns eating the flowers while others kept an eye on me. Some would stretch their necks up to eat, or get on their hind legs to reach a branch.
