Health care bill passes the House

So the health care bill passed the House. It still has to pass the senate.

What's not surprising is that almost every Republican voted against it. Except for one guy, a Vietnamese from New Orleans.With the exception of that lone republican, why should I even be surprised. Of course very few republicans actually give a shit about the poor, the ( Read more... )

That one Republican would probably lose every constituent he had voting against the bill.

It's a pity too, because he seems like the smartest republican I've ever seen.

I have heard though that his district is primarily democrat though, so I think maybe he got voted in because the other guy was a complete moron, or horribly corrupt, or (since it's New Orleans) didn't do shit to fix the city.
