Well, my Halloween was rushed but turned out okay. I ended up scaring at least 3 people which is a good thing. At the party we watched one of the Nightmare on Elm St movies, which I call a teen comedy because I laugh every time some cheerleader or football high schooler gets murdered. Anyway those types of movies are funny as hell and predictable too, always dumb ass teens getting murdered and that's it. No plot at all.
I won the costume contest for scariest costume even though there was another grim reaper, this one with chains over him... but mine had a weapon. I figured he'd win over me.
Saturday night I watched Sleepy Hollow, which is exactly 10 years old. I love a movie where the act of lots of people having their heads chopped off is played for comedy rather than horror, and especially considering how realistic the beheadings were, showing them onscreen with severed necks and blood. Christina Ricci is cute as hell, and who doesn't love Christopher Walken with sharp pointy teeth and bloodlust (and cowbell). I'll leave the fawning of Depp for all his rabid fangirls.
Grandfather's memorial service is tonight.
