LJ Idol Topic 0: Introduction
This is for the LJ Idol Season 6 (that many?!!!) competition.
So Hello strange world. I am Doug. I am going to keep this short as I have to go to class in 30 minutes. What should I write about myself?
I am nearly 28. I am a college student, have been for a while, and still can't exactly figure out my direction in life. I'm extremely intelligent (I can't remember my IQ but I know it's at least 120 or 130), good with computers, cars, science, and fixing things, and I want to find a job where I feel like I'm fixing the problems of the world and making a difference using my skills in computers and science.
I'm liberal, agonistic (used to be liberal Christian), usually vote Democrat although I don't associate myself with one party because I want to vote for the Individual, not the party. I believe in Live and Let Live, that everyone should be allowed to live however they want as long as they're not hurting others, gay, straight, bi, transgendered, atheist, Wiccan/pagan, or otherwise.
I joined LJ a long time ago.. 2003 or so, and I mostly use it to rant and rave about my life. I use it as my venting place. I use it to rant about my life. I use it to voice my opinions. I use it occasionally to let people I know in the Internet world how I'm doing and what's going on in my life. I use it to comment about things I want to comment about, and when I want others to hear my opinion on things. I also feel I might have been a bit redundant in that last paragraph, but I'm like that. I sometimes repeat my message in a different way because I want to make sure people understand it.
I'm a furry, although it's just a hobby for me and not a lifestyle. I'm a bit of a pervert and am not afraid to admit that I, just like all humans, have a sexual side. I love anime, I love science fiction. I love reading. I love riding a bicycle, I love cross country skiing, I love being outdoors amongst the beauty of nature.
And that's it, I think. For now.
