I went to the North American International Auto Show this week.

On the way there, I noticed they had repaved the entire highway 1-94 from the Airport to downtown for the Superbowl, and also replaced a few bridges. They redid an entire interchange for Telegraph and added two huge blue tie arch suspension bridges, each 250 feet long and 90 feet high ( Read more... )

They make a concept car that flies in the face of conventional wisdom, and then wonder why nobody wants to buy American... Why on earth would anyone in their right mind create an even bigger and gas-guzzlinger SUV when gas prices are high and getting higher?

And then the other concept cars are Pony Cars. They do get better gas milage than the old ones, but still, something with 400hp is not going to get 20mpg!
