Those were all things that had happened before and would likely happen again, although maybe not for as long as this had been going on. Don't you know that putting Jamie Madrox's name in the narrative is just an invitation for trouble?

For there was Jamie Madrox. At her doorway. And he had coffee and pie.

"Hello Principal Winchester!" Jamie said cheerfully. "My name is Jamie Madrox and I'm from..."

At this point Jamie Paused and then poised himself for dramatic effect.

"THE FUTURE!"

It was all very dramatic you see.

Zoe didn't pick her head up right away, like not looking at Jamie would make him not real. When she did look up, she sighed, looking him over for any immediate sign of danger. "So I've heard," she said. "Why aren't you in the future right now?"

"Good question," Jamie answered. "I have no clue. One minute I was not enjoying a dystopian future and the next minute I crashed on a table at the Perk. Apparently you have weird stuff going on here so I'm going to blame that."

Jamie settled down in one of the chairs across from Zoe.

"Then again everything's weird on a regular basis in Fandom whether it's in the past or the future. So who can tell. But that's not why I'm here today."

After a long moment of glaring at him, Zoe finally said, "All right, I'll bite. Why are you here?" Hopefully not to bring any kind of dystopia with him. This wasn't a young adult novel, no matter how many teenagers were running around.

"You still you?" Bo asked carefully as she tapped on the doorframe. She knew from experience with both Kenzi and the suddenly green-skinned clerk at J,GoB that the conversation wasn't destined to be very fruitful if the answer was 'Yes but WTF is up with you' but it still seemed like the smartest starting place when checking in with someone these days. Especially your boss.

"As far as I know, I'm still my usual self," Zoe said. It was probably a little wrong to be happy about that. "How are you doing?"

"Still me as far as I know, which is more than I can say for my roommate." Bo shot a glance toward the hallway and her office. "Or half the teachers, judging from the video feeds."

"Apparently at least one person is running around in tights. That would be kind of pretty if it wasn't something potentially stranger than normal," Zoe said. "Have you seen any of the new folks?"
