Despite the piles of papers on her desk, Zoe was sitting and working with a big smile on her face.

Yes, Valentine's Day had been very good indeed.

The door was open if anyone wanted to come by.

After Government class, Sam headed to Zoe's office, and knocked lightly on the doorframe.

Zoe glanced up and smiled at him. "Hi Sam. What brings you by?"

"Uh, more personal reasons than anything academic," Sam replied, coming into the office.

"Is everything all right?"

Sam knocked on the doorframe. "You wanted to see me, ma'am?" She could never figure out what it was about Zoe that made her want to salute.

"I did, yes," Zoe replied, waving Sam in. "It seems you've been assigned to me for the mentoring program. Is that all right?"

Sam took a seat in one of the chairs. "Yes, that's fine. I'm not exactly sure what kind of a mentee I'll be..."

"That depends on what kind of a mentee you'd like to be, and what sort of things you'd want to come to me for help with."
