"Nathaniel, dashing husband of mine, would you like a ride?"
Aw. *laugh* It's so funny to think of language like that coming from Brad's mouth. It's kind of jarring but snicker-worthy.

But oh, this is kind of awesome. I like what you did with the backstory of the motorcycle and the bits and pieces that you worked in. Very nice job.

I really struggled with that last line - I still have doubts about it because it made me snicker as well, but I liked the idea of Brad saying it somewhere between sarcasm and the underlying sincerity and love, so it remained (sometimes I wish I could make magical videos of my stories). Or my writing skills are getting unrusted as well *grins at self*

That kind of backstory is one of my favourite things to explore - the idea of bits of history within and being explained by a particular object significant to the character and the stories that build up around it (if that motorbike could talk, ah the stories that it would tell) is crazy fun.

Yeah, I can totally see Brad uttering such phrases with casual sarcasm and a smirk. Just because he can get away with that sort of thing.

I suppose you could say that bike is to Brad as the flask is to Nix?

Brad Colbert, gentleman outlaw on a motorcycle (holding up coaches not included in this timeline) *grins*

In many ways, yes. You don't tend to see one without the other after all, though Brad would like to put forward the position that the bike is a much healthier attachment, thank you very much ;)

This is really beautiful. You know, with just a smidge of editing, this could get posted on the GK site. Just sayin'

(Course I could have an ulterior motive, 'cause I think everyone on the planet should know about The Big Damn AU of Doom!)

You know, I now have a huge ass grin on my face despite the early hour of the morning (I am not good at mornings, for work or school and today I did not have my cup of tea) because well, thank you. The compliment to my writing skills is definitely appreciated.

(And some day, some day I will stop lurking on the GK comm and actually post something. One day, anyway *g*)

And it makes me happy to make your grin! Just remember how many grins you've brought to my face (not to mention tears) through all your writing with mbuggie.

Excuse me, I'm just going to be here with my ego and some ego reduction potion to be taken at the appropriate time :D (It makes me happy that I've been able to give you happiness, oh awesome reader and source of inspiration. For you really are the best at that).

This was such a cute little fic! Brad's bike really needs to be a fandom fixation. It's underappreciated xD

She's going to learn how to fix a bike, how to ride it safely, what you do when you break down and how to deliver a kick to the posterior of a mechanic that won't take her seriously.

Awh this was cute <3 I loved how you wrote this fic!

Brad Colbert's bike would like to say that it is a crucial part of Brad Colbert's character thank you very much and should be highlighted more (or I just love stories about characters and the objects they love and the meanings and stories therein).

There are few things more cute, I must admit, than Brad Colbert and Ella (which reminds me, I have Ella related stories I need to get back to). And thank you *bows, grins* It's lovely that you liked this.
