Question for Daniellight_onAugust 20 2009, 02:06:21 UTC
Daniel, congrats on being the first male Head of Household of the season. How crucial was this HoH win for you? Did any of the houseguests treat you differently during your reign of power -- i.e. were they super peachy, super stupid, super fake, etc?
Re: Question for DanieldanielspiceAugust 20 2009, 02:52:46 UTC
Thanks Brad. I think this was a very big week for HoH because of the fact that 3 rookies ended up on the block, so it was good to not have to worry about that. Next week will be even more important and so in that regard being HoH this week was not as great.
As far as the houseguests treating me any differently I don't think that was the case at all. No one was extra peachy, fake, or stupid. Though I will say not talking to the HoH once during his reign is probably not the best strategy. I probably talked more about the game than usual with people but the relationships remained pretty much the same.

Maybe I'm a little biased, but I can't think of any reason why I should be evicted... I am really enjoying the game and would like to remain a part of it! I feel that I have been playing to the best of my ability... Even though I haven't won any of the challenges I have participated in so far, I have tried my hardest at all of them. I have been keeping up with diary room entries and I have been quick to participate in any challenges I have been a part of, as an effort to do my part in keeping the game moving at a fun pace. That's really all I have to say in terms of 'selling myself' to everyone... I really don't feel comfortable begging for your votes! ;) I will be very grateful to any and all who vote to keep me in the game. My heart and mind are in this competition and I would be sad to leave the game this early.

Similar to Krysta, I also can't think of a I reason I should be evicted. I also am enjoying the game and I definitely don't want to be finished yet. I am doing my very best at all the challenges I have been involved in. I too have yet to miss a diary entry, vote or challenge deadline. In terms of activity, I think that Krysta and I are on the same level, but unlike Krysta, I am comfortable begging for your vote! LOL. I just hope that after this eviction I'm still here because I want to stay in this house and keep playing the game with you fine people. :)
Question for the House #1light_onAugust 20 2009, 02:44:28 UTC
Though it is still early in the game, who would you respect more: a houseguest who won competitions every week or a houseguest who survived several consecutive evictions? Will this eventually affect who wins the game?
Re: Question for the House #1eyesofcoal538August 20 2009, 02:51:58 UTC
That is a tough choice to make. I think that I could find respect in both situations. A player who wins competitions is admirable because they are clearly a strong player who is able to win competitions. However, a player that has survived several evictions is also admirable because they may not be doing well in the competition aspect of the game, but they are able to work through the obstacles that are placed in front of them to remain in the game. Personally, when watching reality TV, I tend to root for the underdog, so I expect I would find more respect for a player who survived multiply evictions, but I'm sure there are others that would find more respect for a challenge winner. It's all a matter of opinion.

I think both aspects of game play are equally respectable. There are many ways to make it to the final and its hard to say now what route is going to be the way to victory.
