yeah they're retarded for that, when karlene and i quit and gave our two week notices and stuff. karlene got a "bill" in the mail saying she owed them like $950..its because they pay you on salary and pay you for days you don't even work. or something along those lines. either way it's retarded and you think a big company like that would get their shit together. my last paycheque from them was $40.
she didn't, yet. she plans on it. they said if she doesn't..they just take it off her income tax thing for next year. so she'd owe money then..or get less money(depending on how her return is)
I cant believe that, I fucking hate that company more than ever. I hope I can get another job soon to pay them off and get them out of my life for good.
Yeah, it was so annoying. The worst part is that my last paycheque was on the 31st (or 30th) of the month, and the notice they sent me was written up on the 28th of the month. So they KNEW they were going to overpay me before my last paycheque even went out...but apparently they can't fix it because it's already gone through payroll and it's too late? And I know someone else they did that too as well. It's really lame.
But yeah, they overpaid me $421.10 and I haven't paid a penny back. They said it won't show up on my credit bureau or anything, or they won't call to collect on it...basically it's just like when you file your taxes, their record of employment and your record of employment will be different, and then you will owe money on your taxes. So if you can pay it off by the end of the year, then you'll be okay...but I can't pay that much back by then, so that will be shitty when I owe that much (at least) for taxes. Lame!! But paying it back in April right now is better for me than paying it back by the end of December.
that was a novel, but I liked it. At least it wont show up on my credit, because I have enough things there to last a lifetime. I already owe money from last year's income tax, so this will be another special treat for the government, hahaha!
the job search is rather unfruitful right now, I applied at a few places and now I am really just waiting for a callback from goodlife or TD Bank If I dont hear anything from either one tomorrow, then I am going to get back to the grind and start applying again like crazy.
I just really hate not having money, especially around holidays
they're definitely retarded. when i got my first part-time paycheque i only got paid like $80 or something because of the way they pay you ahead when you're full time. i was not impressed! but letting them take it off your taxes sounds like the least painful option, at the moment.
yeah, maybe they are like a super team of josey haters. hahaha! less wine, hahaha, for sure, I was pounding that wine sorry I threw up, I still had fun though I'll call you soon
