Downton was boring last season.

Do you watch Orphan Black? Tatiana Maslany being snubbed for a second year was also ridiculous.

The Emmys have become so political. People vote for what they think they are supposed to vote for. Modern Family again? Come on!

Probably won't watch the awards now.... So disappointed.

I don't understand it either, it just seems like network tv isn't taken seriously any more, that the voters always look for shows on cable because they're considered more prestigious :(

Yep. I mean, I've enjoyed DA overall, but it is a soap opera! If those storylines took place on a modern American show instead of a Brit period piece, there's no way it would ever be nominated for anything.

Network shows don't have a chance these days. GW was so incredibly deserving this year.

Downton is more of a primetime soap than a drama, imo, so the nom makes even less sense.

Yes! It's completely a soap! As I said above, if those storylines took place on a modern American show instead of a Brit period piece, there's no way it would ever be nominated for anything. And hey, I've enjoyed DA in the past, but this season in particular was dumb.

Yeah, I rarely pay attention, but the inclusion of that crappy season of DA over the most brilliant season of GW just stuck in my craw. Bah.

OMG for real. Keri and Matthew have been completely overlooked. If they were on HBO or Showtime, I bet it would be a different story.
