I watched Terra Nova last night. Good lord, Jason O'Mara is dreamy. Not that I didn't know this, but I'm reminded forcefully of his hotness. Did the US Life on Mars end well? Should I watch it?

As for the show, I enjoyed it. Some clunky dialogue and they had to work in a lot of exposition, but I love a grand old-fashioned family adventure. mantaraggio said ( Read more... )

I was a HUGE e2 fan! Wrote fic, edited a 'zine, and was on concom for the first New Pacificon. One of my best friends played Cameron (the beardy guy with no lines who wore the kilt at the Morgan's wedding reception) and he keeps me updated on what everyone from the cast is up to.

I am OLD SKOOL. Or maybe that's really just "old". But Kirk and I met at the meet-n-greet dinner at the first con, and he kept putting cold beer bottles at the back of my neck to try and startle me, and I was all "Huh? Oh. Oh yay, beer!" and thus a LIFELONG FRIENDSHIP was born.

No and NOOOOOOOOO!!!! (sorry, but it really wasn't good, and didn't fully explore the hotness that is Jason O'Mara.)

Oh, man, I loved Earth2. I used to drive my parents crazy picking it as one of my few hours of allowable TV a week because they HATED it. Hee.

Oh, and FYI, your book arrived in the mail yesterday and it was solemnly placed on the top of my to-be-read pile!

(sorry for the edit - I've not had enough tea yet today to type properly.)

Wow, I'm glad I asked about LoM! I shall give it a miss -- thanks for the warning.

Hee, that's funny about E2.

Yay, I hope you enjoy the book! Thank you. :D

Heh, LoM US isn't nearly as good as UK (which I watched after US, so it's not like I was biased in its favor). And yes, the ending is a train wreck, but not a TRAIN WRECK, which is at least part of what I think you were asking? So maybe give ep 1 a shot and see what you think. The casting is great and there were some good moments, so I enjoyed it enough to see it through, but yes the ending is just ridiculous, heh.

Well, I'm glad it's not a literal train wreck! I'm leery, though. We'll see; I still have a ton of Damian and Ron stuff to get through. SO MANY TV BOYFRIENDS, FENNY. :D

I recommend "In Justice" for Jason O'Mara fans. It's the short-lived show Robert and Michelle King made before The Good Wife. It's not as good as TGW, nothing amazing, but it's a pretty enjoyable ensemble solving crimes show. Kyle MacLachlan and Jason O'Mara working on a fictionalised version of the Innocence Project, where they revisit an old case every week to try and free the wrongly convicted. Anyway, I used to ship Conti/Brianna as well as Conti/his ex-wife! (Conti is O'Mara's character.)

I LOVED Earth 2. SO MUCH. I was OBSESSED with it. I had a huge thing for Danzinger....how in hell my parents didn't know I was gay is kind of a mystery when you look back on it. But holy crap I LOVED that show. I bought the DVDs a few years ago and had myself an Earth 2 marathon party. I was the only one who attended, because all of my friends think I'm insane and didn't even know what I was talking about. But see? Not crazy! Other people on the inter-slice know about Earth 2!!

I liked Jason O'Mara on Men in Trees where he was in a few episodes and he had a bigger role on In Justice which was a pretty good show.. at least I liked it.. but you know, that's me.

I liked Terra Nova more than I expected.
