Not that it was in question at all, but Vampire Diaries renewed. *twirls* Also happy about 90210, which I am enjoying this season. I still FF through some storylines (lord, poor Annie always has the most boring and predictable crap), but it's fun overall. Gossip Girl has also been surprisingly fun thanks to Dan and Blair, but I'm sure they'll fuck ( Read more... )

LOL, sorry. Believe me, I wish I still loved the show! I really do. Alas. Who knows, maybe I'll catch up down the road and feel differently. It's just that when a show becomes too much of a chore, it's got to go. :((

but ok i gotta say S6 has left me feeling a little, unsatisfied shall i say? i mean Castiel was AWOL most of the season and even though i loved Sammy with no soul, some of the eps were just slow.
I actually didn't like S4 or 5 before i saw the finales and now its my fave seasons (well they're all my fave i can't pick 1!) so i'll reserve final judgement till the end of S6 because somehow the SPN gang surprises the hell outta me.
you are gonna stick it out till the end aren't you?? you need to catch up!

No, I just don't have it in me right now. Maybe I'll catch up at some point, though. But they just weren't holding my interest this season! It's like the ep earlier this season where Dean makes the deal with Death, and has to do Death's job. And just like with the many, many deals with Crossroads Demons that have happened on this show, he makes the deal and then can't accept the consequences. OMG STOP MAKING DEALS WITH THE DEVIL AND THEN CHAFING AT THE TERMS! STOP IT! Yeah, he learned his lesson in that ep, but too little, too late. It's just so repetitive.

Castiel is fabulous and they definitely didn't have enough of him this season!

VAMPPPIREEEEEEEEEEEEE DIARRRRRIESSSSSSSSSSSS!

\o/

Even though I'm not a Supernatural watcher and have no idea what's going on with anything, I will say that the show (from what I've heard from the fans who are unsatisfied) does seem a little past its expiration date. The CW is getting this notorious reputation for keeping shows on that should've just ENDED. Smallville, One Tree Hill, etc. I know they're cashing in on their staple shows but still. I feel the same way about other shows on the air -- The Office, House, Desperate Housewives, etc. So it's not subject to one network only. Quit while you're ahead is sometimes the best way to go instead of go on and on and on until you run out of ideas or start repeating storylines.

Not specific to one network even though I just singled out the CW. Apologies in advance there.

No worries! They all definitely do it. It amazes me that One Tree Hill is still on. I've never seen it, so it's not a comment on its quality. But didn't it start not long after The Creek? And that feels like a lifetime ago.

Yes! One Tree Hill is the show I'm thinking of other than Smallville. That came on not too long after Dawson. Can you imagine going on for that long? Are the main characters even on the show anymore? I guess these are our new soaps. They just keep rotating but keep the show on forever.

I think you can really feel the loss of Kripe in season 6. That said, I still love the show and look forward to it each week. I'm happy for the renewal. It'd take alot to make me give up the boys and their angel. :)

I honestly feel a little...betrayed is too strong, but Kripke was always SO firm on only going five seasons, and I feel like he sold out, which disappoints me so much. :/

But glad you're still enjoying it; I wish I was, truly.

From what people have said the network had the show renewed for season 6 regardless as Jensen and Jarad were both signed, so I don't think Kripke got a say in it?

That's entirely possible. I still feel like he sold out. In S4 he started talking about how they could go for many more seasons, and I was like, WE HAD AN AGREEMENT HERE! It's irrational, I'm sure, but...there it is.

Yes! I remember thinking Jared was cute at the beginning of Gilmore Girls and then as time passed I found him more and more unattractive until he hit rock bottom for me about a year or two ago. There are a lot of JP fans out there and to each his own, but when they're squeeing I find myself going 'RLY?!' (I is shallow too)
