Oh, Glee

When you're good, you're very, very good. This episode made me turn the computer back on to download the songs and go look for icons. It was just heartwarming and touching and lovely. I liked that there was no easy resolution with the bully, and I hope they don't just let that drop. This show is so very hit and miss, but this ep left me all warm ( Read more... )

AAAAA this show almost pisses me off with eps like this. Like, it was so good, why can't it be this good all the time, not just with all the Kurt, but in terms of thematic coherence and people not all being total tools.

YES. I feel the same way! It's such a tease when it's good, and if they actually had a writers' room and consistent vision, it could be this good all the time. But Ryan Murphy is such a terrible showrunner.

Although they do seem to be trying for more consistency this season. I'm amazed Artie/Brittany is being revisited. Although as hilarious as Brittany is, I wish she and Santana weren't such nitwits.

LOLOL!

I've watched that scene five times tonight, and the TV is currently paused on it, as I'll be watching again when I get off the computer. The first "we'll be young foooooreverrrr"? So freaking perfect and awesome.

I just Googled Darren and I see he's trending on Twitter and is in talks to be a regular. YES, PLEASE.

It took me a while to warm up to Glee, and I still find it cheesy a lot of the time (and this is coming from someone who loves musicals). The thing that bugs me the most is that all the performances are dubbed. I realize that for the quality of music/voclas they want, they have to do that, but it takes me right out of the show because it's like watching people lipsynch.

Oh yeah, I hate that they use the studio versions on the show. I think they should use those for iTunes, but film the actors singing live on set. But it's just something they're clearly not going to change, so I'm used to it.
