Had a fabulous long weekend with bliss_, fenwic and mcfeste. I love you all and thank you for being such awesome guests. :x

We saw Spring Awakening once twice three times and loved it each time. On Friday night we sat on stage left, and Matt Doyle sat beside me at various times throughout the show. The boy is incapable of not rocking out during uptempo songs, and he ( Read more... )

Fennie and I were thinking of you! I really wish you could have made it out.

Sadly we missed the Eaton Centre performance, but obviously we can't complain. Blake is SO good and he was so nice to talk to. He was happy to talk about Lost and Judging Amy and was really gracious and lovely. I shall have to look up a pic of the arms. :D

Oh, and Matt S. was really fantastic this weekend. I also liked Gabby much more from stage, which is interesting. Also she was a doll at stage door.

We're all completely smitten with Andy Mientus, too. His Hanschen is so great and his voice is gorgeous. He's been such a pleasant surprise. Not that I thought he'd be bad, but we were all very taken with him.

Mmmm. Arms, indeed!

They were all extremely friendly and lovely at SD. I wanted to put them all in my pocket.

I think you're right about Gabby. Steffi is *fantastic*. Her voice is so strong and I loved her acting, too. She definitely projects to the whole theatre. She's so tiny and adorable and then she has such power in her performance. Love her.

OMFG YOU SAT NEXT TO MATT DOYLE!!!!! *twirls you* That must have been awesome. Ohmygoodness. This whole "temporary replacement" business is such a great thing for you guys in Toronto, and I cannot be happier for you. :D

I have listened to that Matt/Christy Touch Me too many times to be healthy. It's epic in so many ways. ♥

PS. I don't know if I've mentioned it, but Spring Awakening is being staged here in Manila from September to October, and I'm so excited to get tickets next month! They're selling onstage seats, so it looks like I'm gonna see the show at least twice. :P Heh. I just bought a recorder too, so I'll be able to share the awesomeness with you. *flail*

Not to butt in or anything but I saw the audition flyer for Spring Awakening in Manila and was totally jealous. I didn't know if they were just staging for Manila or to go on some kind of Asian tour, would you know? It'd be convenient to go back to the Philippines and see Spring Awakening at the same time. :D

I'm pretty sure they're just staging for Manila - I haven't heard anything about an Asian tour. But it's still more than 5 months away, maybe things will change. :)

It seriously was awesome. It was so hard not to rock out along with him! I really wish you could see him perform in person, because he's just SO talented and amazing. His smile, his voice, the emotion he conveys onstage...it's all top notch.

I was so pissed I didn't find out about Matt and Christy on BT until just after it aired. Hello, more notice needed, people! At least someone was able to get part of it.

That's so great about SA in Manila! You should definitely sit on stage at least once. :D

I am in love with this touring cast. They rock so hard. Ooh, hello Christy singing Mortiz. Lovely.

I watched the opening night of the West End cast (weird with the brit accents btw) but I hope that they last over there because if I'm itching to watch this show I'm going to fly my butt over there. :( I love this show.

Aren't they great? This tour cast is fabulous.

I hope the London show lasts, too. I'd be so curious to see it with the accents!

Greetings. This is my first comment LJ in, uh, *cough* number of days. Possibly weeks. :|

ASD;KFJ THAT CLIP. How much do I love all these acoustic and/or cabaret performances where they get to sing parts they don't usually sing? It's like the whole cast could step in for any character at any time, regardless of gender. Heh. This one is really kind of hot, too, with them staring lustily at each other. Mmmm.

I believe we rewatched his 60-second scene last night about 23498343543 times.

Not to mention left it freeze-framed on his billion-watt smile for like twenty minutes. :D

Clearly I need SA icons now.

Let me tell you about my "Spring Awakening" experience. I had a fangirl moment last year in NYC when I went to see this on Broadway. It was a spur of the moment thing and I loved the show esp. when I realised that Hunter Parrish (Silas from "Weeds") was in it. It was a mad dash to get to the theatre on time and went to the Italian restaurant next to the theatre for dinner after the show so it was almost midnight by the time I finished. Who should I see standing outside the theatre looking oh so cute and young in his blue hoodie but Hunter? So being the fangirl I am (and having drunk 2 glasses of champagne and feeling courageous) I went up to him and told him how much I enjoyed the show, how much I loved Weeds, how I was from Oz and had been to see Randy in the Berkshires, yada, yada. He was very sweet and made me get my photo taken with him. He introduced me to his Dad who'd surprised him by coming to the show. They live in LA. It was his first night in the show and he'd been going over his mistakes from that night hence his lateness ( ... )

Oh yes, I love Hunter! He was a great Melchior, and he's such a sweetheart.

Nora is alive and well, but not really on LJ anymore, as you know. I'll pass along your greetings, and so glad you enjoy my fic. :)

Yes, he was. Thanks for passing the message on to Nora. I heard from her tonight and replied. Then I went back over her old entries with Randy and commented.
