So the lady who had cancer at my work is back. She has admin rights on our "e-mail" computer, and the first thing she does is disable the internet because she hates the fuck out of the black girl that works here. For a decent reason i guess, she always downloads viruses, installs new software and doesn't bother to hide it (LOL I'D LOVE AN ICON ON ( Read more... )

For the computer you used to post this, is it so old that it doesn't have USB 2.0? I have a nice $19 8GB flash drive loaded with my programs including Firefox 2 Portable. It loads right off the drive and leaves no trace.

Bah. 4th edi seems awesome to me, you gain things at every level, your ABILITYS are actually moving up (unlike 3rd where you get one point only 4 times...) and really, I found that physical fighters in 3.5 usually got super screwed. Magic users got awesomer spells so it was okay for them, but seriously, when monsters gained any sort of damage reduction, physical types were screwed, they either had to be a monk or buy a special weapon, unlike the wizards and such who can just use any different spell.

I think it's not too long before we see lots more books that will add back all the crazy elements, but for now I think the system makes things fun at low levels and a lot more equal.

I do like that you get to up 2 ability points a level instead of one, that's nice, but that also goes with the problems of 3.5 scaling characters, you were less reliant on ability scores and more reliant on stacking feats and items ( ... )

It's probably just my DM, but I already had "daily" stuff to decide on, and it's easy to tell who to use it and when.

And also, at least 4 times, we LOST all our items. It's sorta lame to think that a legendary hero is only one or two bits stronger than the normal person they're just rich enough to buy cool stuff to make them strong. LAMMMEEEEE. So that's why I like the ability stuff going up. And also, from what I understand, you gain new "at-wills" and "dailys" and "encounters"

you get 2/4/4 at level 30 of at-wills/dailys/encounters i believe ( ... )

wizards were so broken in 3.5 that they scaled them down too far in 4th. they are fixing them. dont know if you remember that or not. >.>

It's not just wizards though, it's magic in general. It's so nerfed it's not even worth using it.

I would like to point out that most of us have only been playing 4th ed. for about 2-3 months. Of that we've prolly only had 6-9 meetings and as you know, only about >2 hours of actual playtime each 3 hour block. Im still reserving judgement...

yeah i agree, it's just i finished reading the PHB and was really really really disappointed by it's utter lack of magic.

Also, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Selvetarm#Selvetarm i think i'm going to worship selvetarm. He's a fighter type bloodlust person who's lloths grandson who's pretty much forced to be her bodyguard even though he hates the shit out of her. It would make sense for my class.

Or this chick http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kiaransalee#Death who's the god of slavery and undead, but she is apparently dead.

I wish they'd release a deity book for 4th edition.

If i have to pick a vanilla 4th edi god, it would be torog (general god of the underdark) or the raven queen (god of death).

Thats cool, do whatever you like. I think Im good enough to adapt it in. Like I said, new lore would be something cool to look up at work if you really want to get into the 4th Ed. FR campaign. Also its good to know about as much as your character in terms of lore because it will help out im my campaign.
