Outside the police station: Tuesday Afternoon

Feb 09, 2010 12:02

Gunn walked out of the station a free man, his arms held out wide as if to take in everything around him.

"Oh, yeah baby. Fresh air!" he exclaimed. "Just goes to show you can't keep a good man down!"

Hmm. His lawyer might have something to say about that.

[For his Lawyer only, plz!]

There were many ways in which Gibbs was starting to rub off on Alex.

Here was one example: the deep and burning urge to smack Gunn upside the back of the head.

"Not if he's got a good lawyer," she said, instead. "You're lucky the arresting officer was such an idiot. Do you want to tell me why you were shoplifting a snack cake?"

As his counsel, this was something she shouldn't ever ask him. But the charges had been dropped, and besides, she was also his teacher.

"What? I was hungry," Gunn said rolling his eyes. "Hey, they didn't have a thing on me."

"Concealing an item with intent to shoplift counts as shoplifting, under Maryland law," Alex said, rolling her eyes. "If I had been on the other side of the table, I could have scared you into taking a plea. Does the cafeteria here not serve Ding-Dongs?"

"Have you seen the food in the cafeteria?" Gunn asked. "There ain't nothing in there with a delicious creamy center."
