Residents of Discedo, inquiring minds have a question~

What are your thoughts on love and fate? It's always interesting to see how people of different worlds view such things!

so this is love?, orz, things to talk about, what is love?, maybe not, don't wanna answer this, this is how we cope with things, unsure, kuro-sama, not ready, hitsuzen, inquiring minds, inner conflict, what is a hiatus, not talking about kuro, love

If you wish! I suppose I should have specified, hm~?

No, not at all. Both of the options are completely viable, so to say.

I'm not sure if I believe in 'fate'. Of course, Dr Sigmund Freud said there is no such thing as a coincidence, but the man said a startling amount of things I'm inclined to disagree with, and as such am not sure if I should take this particular statement seriously.

Ah, I can't say I've heard of this Doctor Freud, though someone else I know often said something quite similar to that statement~

Neither is avoidable.

Perhaps not - are you of sound thought that they're intertwined~?

Yes. What else makes you strive towards your goals if not love and hate, desire and spite?

Hm~ A very good point indeed, Seishirou-san.

Both are false.

Is there a reason that you feel that way on the subject?

They're both foolish constructs of human imagination. Love is a joke based on biological attraction and dependence, and the very idea of fate -- in the way I presume you're using it -- would make existence pointless if the final result of all actions were predetermined and unavoidable.

Would that mean that attraction means nothing? Or that you can't have love without retaining your independence?

And what if your actions could knowingly change your fate?

Both are true. But the former needs strength to hold on to, and the latter needs strength to be accepted.

That's a lovely way of looking at it~

I think so!

You can follow both or you can stay away from both, but whether either is a good idea depends on the fate you want to embrace or avoid. ...Hm, that's just what I think! Draw your own conclusions.

A very good point! I suppose that would make the will of the person able to change the outcome of their fate then.

As far as I'm aware, if you only exist for a specific purpose, that doesn't mean you have to follow it. Is that something like what you were wondering about?

I was just curious to know what other people's views on the topic were! There's so many different worlds and beliefs~ It's interesting to see how others see things!

Though I wonder, if you don't follow the path fated for you, could it cause problems for others or yourself in other ways?
