It is nice to see Kaylee being strong and taking a stand, seems out of character until you realize she has always been strong, she just couches it in shiny eyes and cheerful words.

Yes, I think she's very strong. She has to be to live like she does. She has an optimistic personality, sure, but she's no shrinking violet. When push comes to shove, she's right there, getting the job done.
