Oh no, I'm a lazy bum who uses textures other people make. But I do frequently modify the textures that I have, like changing the color using gradient maps or hue/saturation, or I'll blurr or erase parts of the texture that I don't want...sometimes I'll just use the smudge tool on certain light textures to move the colors around where I want them. It can be a very messy process at times, but quite fun.
My fav texture maker is ohfreckle, but iconseeyou has some great texture sets that I also favor, like the B & W handwritten texture set in this post....love that texture set. And I'm always stumbling across new texture sets and makers. I have a huge list of texture makers on my resources page...I really should organize them in order of preference.
I'm in awe. These are gorgeous. I took 27, 30, 22, 9.
I also took your image with Gaius in the center, because OMG, it is one of the most amazing things I've ever seen. Honestly. I love it. I wish it was a desktop.
Thank you! :D Unfortunately, I only have the Gaius graphic in 200x200 form. Not sure how well I can duplicate it on the wallpaper scale but I may give it a try. ;-)

Is there anything in particular you want to know about my texture use? Its become so second nature to me, I'm not sure where I would begin, lol.
