Dual adventures!

Good for you.

A friend of my family has fostered/adopted something along the lines of 20 kids over several years. He has kids ranging in age from 4 or 5 (okay - the adoption on that one isn't finalized, yet), to mid-30s, I think. And they're all good people. It gets to be addictive, apparently. :)

I can easily see how it could be addictive. Hell, just sitting in the class discussing fostering kids made me want to bring in a child or two. I can only imagine how much more amplified those feelings would be after having a foster child or two.

Foster parenting definitely isn't for everyone. But I think that some people are wired to be foster parents. It's Dao's way of ensuring a form of balance in society. And I think that both Erin and myself are wired to be foster parents.
